Paula Zing Titzl, Hoover MS

Longtime APS teacher Paula Zing Titzl is retiring at the end of the 2011-2012 school year.

Paula started her teaching career in a three/four combination class in Magdelena, NM.  After teaching there for one year, she came back to Albuquerque and started teaching at Matheson Park Elementary School. She taught at Matheson Park for 16 years, and taught grades one, two, four and five.

Paula then “graduated” to middle school, and has taught at Hoover Middle School for the past 10 years, teaching sixth, seventh and eighth graders. While at Hoover, she has taught math, social studies, language arts and Career Explorations. Paula was also the yearbook sponsor for three years.  She has enjoyed her teaching career and will most miss her “kiddos”.

Paula is looking forward to being able to do many of her favorite activities: drinking flavored coffee on the balcony, reading, scrapbooking, listening to music and spending time with her daughter, Vanessa.  She is also looking forward to having longer lunches and dining out, traveling and searching for the perfect second career.
