Nori Yonack, Apache ES

Nori Yonack will retire at the end of this school year, closing out a rewarding and fulfilling 32-year career as an elementary education teacher. During her 28 years with APS and four in El Paso,Texas, she has taught 1st through 5th grades.

Ms. Yonack has taught 3rd grade at Apache Elementary for the past 11 years. She began teaching with APS at Armijo Elementary. She also taught at East San Jose, Eubank, Matheson Park, and Acoma.

Ms. Yonack will cherish the memories and keepsakes that she has from 32 years of teaching. She created a loving, caring environment and is proud of the positive influence that she feels she has had on her students' education. She will fondly remember the many friendships established with teachers, parents, and former students.

She is looking forward to the next chapter with excitement and expectation, but also with a high level of sentiment as she reflects on her many happy years as a teacher.

There will be a retirement reception from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, in the Apache library.
