Maureen (Moe) Martinez, Sombra del Monte ES

— filed under:

April 23, 2012

Moe Martinez is retiring after 21 years with APS.

As a life-long learner who enjoyed taking risks and constantly tried to better her craft, she taught in many different types of classrooms and elementary schools within the district. She was a Spanish as a Second Language teacher at Dennis Chavez, taught gifted classes at Bandelier and John Baker, and has taught first, second and fourth graders at Chelwood and  Bellehaven, and for the last eight years, taught first graders at Sombra del Monte Elementary.

Ms. Martinez was an engaging, creative and loving educator. We wish her all the best in this new exciting chapter of her life.
