Mark Goodrum, Grant MS

Mark Goodrum, the band director at Grant Middle School, is retiring July 1. Mr. Goodrum started his teaching career in Fort Lauderdale, Fla, in 1983. He also worked as an assistant band director at Manzano High and Harrison MS from 1984-1988.

"I believe there are times when we know when things are right. I was blessed 31 years ago to know that I would love to teach band to young students," Mr. Goodrum said. "I was blessed to have educators to direct me in the correct direction for this journey. Now, 31 years later I can say I have loved this career, the ups and downs. I want to thank all that have come in and out of my life during this journey."
