Marie Chavez, Petroglyph ES

Marie Chavez is retiring after 18 years in APS. She grew up and went to school in Brooklyn, New York. Marie received her undergraduate degree from the College of Santa Fe and her master’s degree from UNM.

She has taught at Petroglyph Elementary School for 18 years as well as her student teaching.

Marie is planning to continue working for Weight Watchers, She will also be doing volunteer work and spending more time with her family. She will be missed by her students, parents, and the Petroglyph family.
