Kak Burk, Bandelier ES

Bandelier will be saying a fond farewell to Ms. Kak Burk as she retires at the end of this school year. Bandelier came into her life when she was a parent volunteer for her twin sons in 1992. In the past 18 years she has taught fifth grade, kindergarten and the last five years at first grade. She will be retiring with a master ‘s degree in elementary education that she earned in 2010.

Ms. Burk is relocating to Las Cruces with her husband. She has plans to travel to visit her sons. The Bandelier community will miss her sense of humor, creativity, and her generosity in sharing ideas. They will hold a goodbye celebration on May 16 at 4 p.m. in the school library.
