Janet (Jan) Campbell, San Antonito ES

Janet (Jan) Campbell will be retiring in December from San Antonito Elementary School. She has taught third grade at San Antonito for the past 10 years, but also worked at the school in the mid '70s when she served as its first guidance counselor and was also the PE teacher.

She left teaching and worked in the corporate world, but missed the excitement of education and came back to the East Mountains. Her love of the outdoors was a great opportunity to teach the children with field trips and earth science projects.

The staff and students of San Antonito community will miss Ms. Campbell; however, we all wish her the best as she considers a move to Montana to take classes to become a earth science specialist, her retirement dream. She wants to teach the future generations about saving the world’s ecology.
