Eufemia (Famie) Trujillo will be retiring at the end of this school year as a physical education teacher at Valley High School.

Ms. Trujillo has taught for 29 years, beginning her career in 1983 at Belen Consolidated Schools. From Belen, she moved on to Los Lunas High School where she taught physical education and was head volleyball coach.

She began teaching for APS in 1989 at Rio Grande High School where she coached both volleyball and tennis.

The last 12 years of her teaching career have been at Valley High School, where she has served as department chair and coached the boys and girls golf team for four years. As she put it, “Time fly’s when you’re having fun.”
