David Van Gesen, North Star ES

David Van Gesen was a teacher for 33 years in the New York public school system. He moved to Albuquerque and started subbing only to find himself in a long-term teaching assignment at Double Eagle. Nine-and-a-half years later, Mr. Van Gesen is celebrating his second retirement in education. We are indebted to his almost 43 years of service in education.

A celebration honoring this incredible teacher will be held from 2:30-4 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, in the North Star library.
