Darlene Sweeney, Eldorado

Darlene Sweeney will be retiring after 21 years with APS.

She started her APS career at San Antonito Elementary as a one-on-one teacher working with student with autism in a special education classroom.

She then moved to Roosevelt Middle School for one year in the special education department and truancy room followed by a year at Manzano High where she helped with the work-based program.

In 2000 she transferred to Eldorado High to help start the Intensive Support Program. She has been there since. She has worked with several special education programs including behavior disorder, intensive support and work-based.
