Carla Clifford-Hunter, Navajo/Los Padillas elementary school nurse

Carla Clifford-Hunter, registered nurse at Navajo and Los Padillas elementary schools, is retiring this year! Carla has worked with APS for 25 years. Her dedication to the health and well-being of all the students at Navajo, Los Padillas, Kit Carson, Polk, Barcelona, Mountain View, Harrison, Carlos Rey, Longfellow, Sandia Base and Wherry for the past 25 years will not be easily forgotten. From boo-boos to broken arms to open air way classes and annual mandatory district trainings Carla has left her footprint in the heart of many people. Carla you are encouraging, wise, charming, and always have open arms.

Prior to working for APS Carla served as registered nurse at the Public Health Service Indian Hospitals and as an Instructor/counselor in adult education at John Marshall School for City of Albuquerque.

The next chapter in Carla’s life hopefully will involve some incredible views when traveling the world! She hopes to visit bears, whales, glaciers and breathtaking mountain views in Alaska or maybe she will make it to eat some delicious food and relax on amazing beaches under the palm trees of Hawaii. Regardless of where her travels bring her, she can’t wait to spend some extra time with her friends and family, both near and far.

Navajo Staff would like to invite all of her colleagues, friends, and family to celebrate her joint retirement on May 14 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the cafeteria: 2936 Hughes Road SW.
