Antoinette (Toni) Silva-Dunbar, IEP specialist

Antoinette (Toni) Silva-Dunbar will be retiring at the end of this school year.

Toni is an IEP specialist serving multiple schools. Prior to her current position, Toni taught special education at all levels. She moved away and taught in Florida for five years before returning to APS. In 2002, she was awarded the Crystal Apple Award and in 2003, she was awarded the Golden Apple Award. She is a Golden Apple Fellow and has worked off and on for the Foundation since 2003.

Teaching was definitely her passion. Her dedication and commitment to students with special needs will be missed.

Upon retirement, Toni plans on working in her garden, volunteering, traveling and dedicating more time to the Golden Apple Foundation.
