Performing Groups Encouraged to Register for Annual Festival de Bellas Artes

The deadline for registering school groups has been extended to Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Every year APS Fine Arts invites Albuquerque-area students to attend a multicultural festival for dance groups, instrumental groups and school choirs. Students enjoy a high-energy day of master classes and performance sharing at the National Hispanic Cultural Center.  

Festival de Bellas Artes is designed to expand the artistic horizons of our students, motivate them in their practice and reward them for work well done.

Performance groups have until Dec. 17 to register to be a part of Festival de Bellas Artes 2015. Elementary students will have the choice of attending the festival on Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. or Thursday, Feb. 5, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Secondary students attend on Friday, Feb. 6, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Groups attending on Thursday and Friday will participate in an evening public showcase in the Albuquerque Journal Theater.
