Sam's Club Awards Gift Cards to 20 Hawthorne ES Teachers

Teachers get $50 gift cards to help offset classroom expenses.

Sam’s Club awarded 20 Hawthorne Elementary School teachers with $50 reward cards this week to purchase classroom supplies that will help students start the school year off right.

As part of the Teacher Rewards program, the local educators were honored during an award ceremony at the school on Wednesday, Sept. 19.

The financial help come at a critical time, as the majority of U.S. teachers going back to school will spend their own money to ensure their students have the supplies they need to learn throughout the school year.
