Linda Keulen, Roosevelt Middle School

Linda Keulen took her passion for libraries all the way to the floor of the New Mexico House of Representatives. Keulen, the librarian at Roosevelt Middle School, was invited to the Round House by Rep. Ed Sandoval (D-Albuquerque) during a recent legislative discussion on support for libraries. She was one of five librarians introduced on the House floor. Keulen also was recognized for completing National Board Certification this year. She was the only librarian among the 50 APS teachers in this year’s certification class, and is one of only a handful in the entire district. Board certification for librarians has been available since 2004, and Keulen is one of just 12 in New Mexico to complete it.
