Education Hero Julie Dahl of CHS

The Cibola teacher was recognized by the American Red Cross for helping raise money to buy a wheelchair accessible van for a student in need.

English and art teacher Julie Dahl was named the Education Hero of the year by the American Red Cross after she wrote, directed and staged a play starring special education students. Proceeds from the play helped pay for a wheelchair accessible van for a Cibola Cougar.

Julie then created a second play, the proceeds of which went to the American Red Cross

Julie received a medal at the 6th annual American Red Cross Real Heroes Breakfast in June.
