Dr. Linda Townsend-Johnson, Frederick Douglass Award Honoree

Celebrating Albuquerque Education Champions

Dr. Linda Townsend-Johnson, principal of Sunset View Elementary, was awarded the Frederick Douglass Award as an Albuquerque Education Champion during the celebration at the 7th Annual Cotton Club Scholarship Gala.
 
The evening was organized and sponsored by the New Mexico Black History Organizing Committee and the Albuquerque Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Mayor Keller was in attendance to congratulate Dr. Townsend and express support for the continued collaboration of  Albuquerque Public Schools and city of Albuquerqeue to support the success of students.
