Brie Montano, John Adams Mid-School

Brie Montano, a seventh grade science teacher at John Adams Mid-School, was awarded a $2,000 grant from PNM for the school/community garden. Montano will use the money to build a fence around the garden and to buy supplies including peat moss, compost, plants and seeds.  The garden on the east side of the school has grown zucchini, tomatoes, jalapenos, green beans, broccoli and cabbage. Students in Montano’s classes tend to the garden.
