Wellness Works at M&O

Staff at Maintenance and Operations have cut weight and are on a healthy path.

In September the APS Maintenance and Operations Department has kicked off the "Wellness Works" campaign.  There have been 57 employees who have been engaged in the weight loss challenge.  Sixteen people lost more than 90lbs. and more than 20 inches off their waist lines.

The objectives of the program are:

  • Monthly health and wellness lunch and learn sessions
  • Creating their own fitness facility
  • Walking program and challenges
  • Work day stretching program to include a stretching instruction card
  • Wellness communication boards in each department
  • Wellness presentations during each of their bi-monthly safety meetings sponsored by eVOLVstrong fitness

The overall goal of the program is to decrease the amount of work site injuries as well as improve overall health for 2016.
