Reception Held for Employees Who Completed Fitness Challenge
More than 400 employees participated in this year's challenge to live a healthier life.

More than 400 employees participated in the Employee Fitness Challenge which ends Friday, May 18. An awards ceremony and reception will be held for participants and their families to celebrate their accomplishments and efforts toward a healthy lifestyle.
The awards ceremony and reception will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, in the Rio Rooms of the Alice and Bruce King Education Complex (City Centre, 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE).
Individual and team winners will be recognized and will be able to collect their prizes.
APS will also be awarding a prize to the individual who has seen the most improvement. To nominate an employee for this award, please view and complete the nomination form and submit it accordingly.
The reception will be hosted by the superintendent's chief of staff, Joseph Escobedo, who has successfully shed 40 pounds since the beginning of the year. Guest speaker will be teacher Ann Marie Strangio who has lost more than 100 pounds over the past few years with the help of the Employee Fitness Challenge.
