APS Employee Wellness has created a library and resource center where employees can get information on a variety of health-related topics.

Located in Room 205E at City Centre, 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE, the resource center will include information on such topics as nutrition, exercise, stress, women’s health, men’s health, dental health, vision health, cooking, cholesterol, diabetes, blood pressure and more.

Employees will be able to check out recipe books and exercise videos. A computer will be available for researching health and wellness topics, completing personal health profiles or visiting benefit carrier websites. A website is now under construction that will allow employees to view resources and check out books.

Employees also will be able to have their blood pressure checked and consult with a registered, licensed dietitian.

And the room will serve as a quiet area for employees to decompress, regroup and regenerate.

A ribbon cutting and reception will be held for the Wellness Library & Resource Center at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 1. It will then be open to employees from 3-4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays or by appointment.
