Wellness Ambassadors Wanted

The Employee Wellness Program is seeking employee volunteers to support district-wide wellness initiatives.

Wellness Ambassadors are:

  • Employee volunteers who share their enthusiasm and motivation, and contribute to meaningful, organization-wide wellness initiative
  • Advocates for healthy living, no matter where they are in their personal health and wellness journeys
  • A direct link to information for co-workers about wellness resources and activities

Attributes of Successful Wellness Ambassadors:

  • Committed to the health and wellness of themselves and others
  • Willing to take initiative
  • Inspiring to others
  • Comfortable promoting wellness programs
  • Positive role models for health and well-being.

Current APS Wellness Ambassadors have

  • brought in boxes of fruit for meetings
  • encouraged cross-school walking challenges
  • started a Water Challenge
  • scheduled stress reduction seminar after school
  • applied for mini wellness grants
