Two APS EAs Awarded Scholarships from Dual Language Education of NM

Stephanie Lozoya of Alamosa Elementary and Mónica Granados of East San José Elementary will get help paying for their bilingual certification.

Dual Language of New Mexico awarded scholarships to two APS educational assistants last month during La Cosecha Dual Language Conference. Stephanie Lozoya of Alamosa Elementary and Mónica Granados of East San José Elementary will get help paying for their bilingual certification.

The Janet Montoya Schoeppner Memorial Scholarship was created to honor an educator, colleague, friend, mentor and supporter of dual language programs within the community. Dual Language Education of New Mexico awards a scholarships equal to the cost of one course per semester to New Mexico teaching assistants currently working toward completion of their bilingual certification.
