Save the Date: Switch/Open Enrollment is Oct. 6 and 9-13

Get more information on benefits, including planned changes to medical and dental plans for 2018.

Employees can learn more about their benefits, including changes coming in 2018, during Switch/Open Enrollment from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, and Monday-Friday, Oct. 9-13 on the first floor of the west tower at the APS administration building (the Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex), 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE.

Representatives from BlueCross/BlueShield, Presbyterian and New Mexico Health Connections will be on hand to answer questions about the 2018 medical plans.

In addition, during Switch/Open Enrollment, benefit eligible employees may:

  • Enroll in a benefit plan, if you are not already enrolled
  • Enroll or re-enroll in the Health Care Flexible Spending Account and/or the Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
  • Switch medical plan coverage to the 2018 plans for New Mexico Health Connections, Presbyterian Health Plan or Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico
  • Switch from the Comprehensive Dental Plan to the Basic Dental Plan or vice versa (2-year lock in rule applies)
  • Add or dis-enroll eligible dependents
  • Enroll or dis-enroll in the Pre-Tax Insurance Premium Plan

Coverage elected or changes made during Switch/Open Enrollment are effective January 1, 2018.

The last two days of Switch/Open Enrollment are during Fall Break so that more employees can attend.
