Principal Preparation Program for Aspiring APS Principals

The Alliance for Leading and Learning is recruiting APS level III teachers with at least six years of experience in APS for the Aspiring Principal Program.

Aspiring principals selected for the program will receive

  • Partial tuition reimbursement for UNM graduate-level classes that lead to public school administrative licensure
  • One semester paid internship with an emphasis on developing successful leaders for high-need schools.

Newly appointed principals will receive

  • A peer mentor and a district mentor
  • On-site coaching and support
  • Assistance in addressing compliance issues
  • Training in leadership skills such as classroom observation and teacher assessment/evaluation.
