No Rate Increase for Medical, Dental or Vision Plans in 2018

Some employees who make less than $40,000 a year could pay less.

APS is pleased to announce that medical, dental and vision plan premium rates will not change in 2018, and some employees who make less than $40,000 a year could pay less.

2018 Contribution Strategy for Medical, Dental and Vision Plan Coverage

  • For employees earning less than $34,500 annually, the employee pays 20 percent of total premium and APS pays 80 percent of total premium.
  • For employees earning between $34,500 and $39,999 annually, the employee pays 30 percent of total premium and APS pays 70 percent of total premium.
  • For employees earning $40,000 or more, the employee pays 40 percent of total premium and APS pays 60 percent of total premium.

Information about changes to the medical and dental plans is included in the 2018 Employee Benefits Enrollment Guide.

Please bring your 2017 Benefits Statements with you to Switch/Open Enrollment. They were delivered to schools and other work sites starting on Sept. 27. Also, remember to bring supporting documentation (marriage certificate, birth certificates, and social security numbers) if you will be adding dependents during Switch/Open Enrollment.
