President's Day Water and Energy Conservation

Saving resources over the holiday weekend

Please do your part to support and fully participate in the APS Energy Wise Energy Conservation Program by following these guidelines before the break:

  • Shut down computers, personal printers, monitors, document cameras, and Promethean Boards, and where possible use the power strip to shut them down.
  • Leave contract copiers and printers on.
  • Ensure all classrooms, offices, gyms, locker rooms, mechanical rooms, restrooms and hall lights are all turned OFF and doors locked.
  • Clean out and unplug microwaves, coffee makers and other small appliances that have a light or (non-vital) clock.
  • Close windows and shut the blinds
  • Set thermostats down to 60°F

The Thanksgiving holiday for schools is Wednesday, Nov. 21, through Friday, Nov. 23. Administrative offices are open on Nov. 21, closed Nov. 22 and 23.
