MacArthur Students Donate Toys, Learn the Pillar of Caring

Students in Cheryl McElheney’s first grade class pose with the toys they collected and LCpl. Alex Cabaday.

Students and staff at MacArthur Elementary donated a big pile of toys for needy children in the community. On Tuesday, Dec. 12, representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps came to the school to address the student body and collect the toys.

The toy drive was organized by the school’s Character Counts! Committee to teach the pillar of caring.
