Employees Must Take Leave for Winter Break Holidays Dec. 27-30

Administrative Offices Closed Dec. 23-Jan. 2

Albuquerque Public Schools will close all offices, with the exception of APS Police and KANW, from Dec. 23 through Jan. 2. Employees on a 260-day work year must take leave for Dec. 27-30.

Dec. 23, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 are paid holidays.

Employees can take annual leave, compensatory time, leave without pay or a combination of those types of leave for the four days – Dec. 27, 28, 29 and 30.

APS administrative offices re-open Tuesday, Jan. 3. School staffs return that day as well. Students go back to school on Wednesday, Jan. 4.
