APS Hosts Annual Health Fair for Employees

The Human Resources Department will host its annual health fair for employees from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, and Thursday, Oct. 25, at City Centre.

APS employees are encouraged to get a flu shot, gather information from their health care providers, talk to benefits specialists, donate blood, visit with various vendors that provide wellness services, learn CPR, get a mammogram and more at the annual Employee Health Fair Oct. 24-25 at City Centre, 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE (map).

Superintendent Winston Brooks will be joined by Dr. Barry Ramo to kick off the health fair at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Activities include:

  • Benefit presentations by Lovelace, Presbyterian, Express Scripts, Davis Vision, Standard Insurance Company and Delta Dental on Wednesday
  • Flu shots offered from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wednesday and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. on Thursday
  • Mammograms conducted by Assured Imaging Women’s Wellness, a provider of mobile digital mammography, from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. both days. To schedule an appointment or for questions, call 888-233-6121.
  • Blood donations in the United Blood Services mobile unit parked at City Centre from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. both days. To schedule an appointment, log on at  The sponsor code is citycentre.
  • Project Heart Start on Wednesday
  • Vendor exhibits on Thursday
  • Dental screenings on Thursday
  • Open/switch enrollment both days from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
