ABCs of Diabetes

2018 Diabetes Wellness Workshop

Diabetes affects 29 million people in the U.S. and many here in Albuquerque. Nearly 30 percent of Americans who are 65 or older have diabetes.

Treating diabetes requires more than medication to be successful. Components include nutrition, physical activity, medications, glucose monitoring, and potential social changes.

Come learn more about preventing and controlling diabetes. A certified diabetes educator will discuss diabetes, pre-diabetes and related risks. This workshop will cover what you can do to lower your chances of developing as well as self-management strategies if you have diabetes.

Thursday, February 15, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
