Balanced Eating Plan-Diabetes

Diabetes affects 29 million people in the U.S. and many here in Albuquerque. Nearly 30 percent of Americans who are 65 or older have diabetes.

Treating diabetes requires more than medication to be successful. Components include nutrition, physical activity, medications, glucose monitoring, and potential social changes.

Join Registered Dietitian, Jennie McCary, to discuss effective nutrition approaches to prevent diabetes and manage blood glucose. Learn to make better food choices at home, when dining out, achieve and maintain a healthy weight, and prevent or manage health conditions associated with diabetes.

A Balanced Eating Plan is the second seminar in our Diabetes Wellness series.
