APS Wears Pink on Fridays to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Many schools and offices did their part during the month of October.

The APS Employee Wellness Department sponsored Think Pink Fridays in October to bring awareness of breast cancer awareness month.

"We have received an astounding amount of support and participation from all over the district," said Kathy Chavez, the employee wellness manager. "It has been very humbling to see so many employees create awareness of this important cause."

All employees were encouraged to wear pink every Friday to acknowledge the many people directly or indirectly  impacted by the disease. APS has been posting photos of employees sporting their pink to our APS Facebook page.

Employees who submitted pictures to the Employee Wellness department were entered to win fun prizes each week.
