(Formerly Year Round Schools) These schools provide students with continuous learning by breaking up the long summer vacation into shorter, more frequent vacations throughout the year.

In the 2010-2011 school year, all year-round schools have moved to a new, standard single-track schedule.

This single-track schedule, also known as the Alternative Calendar, generally has 180 instructional days, with short breaks spread throughout the school year.
