District Curriculum Boards

District Curriculum Boards support improvement of instructional practice and student achievement through study of and efforts toward instructional planning and preparation, the classroom environment, classroom instruction, and professional responsibilities.

The Elementary Curriculum Board is comprised of principals who represent all elementary principals.  The representatives on this board serve as a conduit for information between the principals they represent and the district.  Board members offer feedback on issues that affect all elementary principals and at times make decisions that represent the interest of all elementary schools.  Members are responsible for communicating with principals in their feeder system and soliciting feedback to bring to the Board.

The Middle and High School Curriculum Boards are comprised of assistant principals whose job responsibilities include leadership in curriculum and instruction.  Every school has representation on their respective board.  The primary goal of the secondary boards is to support instructional leaders though professional development and instructional technical assistance. In addition, the boards serve as a forum for communication between the secondary schools and the district departments.
