Wynton Marsalis Connects with Student Musicians

The jazz great spent an intimate evening with a few dozens APS students.

Legendary jazz musician Wynton Marsalis and members of his band spent an intimate evening with student musicians on Sunday, Sept. 27.

Each APS high school director was allowed to invite up to five students to take part in the session along with members of the Albuquerque Youth Symphony.

The evening included a public lecture and demonstration by Marsalis followed by an improv class for students.
