APS Looks at Virtual School for Grades 6-12

We're expanding our online education offerings.

Albuquerque Public Schools is looking into offering a full-time online schooling option for students in grades 6-12.

The virtual school would be another option for students and parents looking for the right fit for their child. Students who may benefit from full-time digital schooling include those who:

  • Need a break from the traditional educational setting
  • Seek a more personalized approach to learning
  • Need remediation or more of a challenge
  • Are homebound or hospital bound
  • Need to recover credits or earn college credits
  • Need flexibility in their daily schedule to accommodate work, parenting, or other responsibilities
  • Wish to develop their 21st century skills to increase college and career readiness.

APS also offers online classes for students who need to make up credits or who want to get ahead.
