Video Helps Freshmen Survive High School

Volcano Vista student officers create a survival guide for incoming 9th graders.

The transition from middle school to high school can be overwhelming, so the VVHS Associated Student Body officers decided to do something about it.

"Hank Hawk's Certified School Survival Guide" is a five and a half minute video that provides incoming high school freshmen 18 real-life tips on how to succeed in high school. The humorous video advice includes everything from 'get involved'' to ''there's no synchronized dancing, sorry."

This fresh and empathetic video taps into stereotypes, qualms fears, and eases tension to help freshmen  "survive high school."
