Thanks to Those Who Work in Our School Libraries

It's National Library Week.

AHS library EA Mandy Cumming with students

APS teacher-librarians and library EAs work tirelessly in support of their students. Our librarians are fearless champions of information literacy, often using new technologies to create engaging learning opportunities, and constantly strive to encourage a deep and abiding love of reading in all our students.

APS librarians are also leaders across the state, with seven of them recently presenting at a statewide library conference. Many of our libraries have received grants from the New Mexico Library Foundation, and several have won the annual statewide best school library award.
