Fun Run/Walk Supports APS Students & Employees

Prizes to schools and departments for highest participation

Miles for Minds is a fun run and walk to take on childhood obesity while supporting public education.

The third annual event will be held Sunday, March 31, at Mariposa Basin Park next to LBJ Middle School, 6811 Taylor Ranch Dr. NE.

Event schedule:

  • 5K Run/Walk: 9 a.m.
  • Kids 2-Mile: 9:45 a.m.
  • Kids K: 10:15 a.m.

Please be at the start of your event 10-15 minutes prior to the start time.

Packet Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 30,  at Bosque Running Store, 6001 Winter Haven Dr. NW (corner of Coors and Montano). Late registrations for all events will be accepted at Packet Pickup. All pre-registered participants are encouraged to pick up their event packs at Packet Pickup.

School Site Incentive

  • Get your staff, students and parents excited about registering for Miles for Minds!
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd place participation will receive monies for a wellness program
  • Top participating school wins this year's Golden Shoes Trophy!
  • *Make sure to indicate the school site you're at when registering

District Department Incentive

  • Inspire your department colleagues to sign up!
  • The department with the most participation will receive monies for a wellness program-two categories-small and large size department
  • Five future Run Fit registrations to be raffled off
