We Continue to Celebrate #Nov38

So many acts of kindness have been shared with us! Let's keep it going through the holiday season.

We continue to celebrate #Nov38 through the holiday season with a social media campaign that features acts of kindness and giving in our schools and neighborhoods during the holiday season.

You might recall that last year, the APS wall calendar had a typo in it that designated the Monday after Thanksgiving as Nov. 38 (instead of 28). We decided to turn that typo into an opportunity to post pictures and descriptions of generous and kind acts to social media.

The feedback was great. So great, in fact, that Sandia Area Federal Credit Union decided to sponsor the day this year (Really! Check out the month of November in this year’s calendar!)

Here’s what we’re asking of our schools and departments. Post pictures and descriptions of generous and kind acts to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #Nov38. We’ll then share on our sites, too: @ABQschools.

Parents and volunteers, you can get into the act, too. Just use #Nov38.

Those who aren’t on social media can email the pictures and descriptions to the APS Communications Office which will post on your behalf.

If your school is putting together care packages, collecting money or cans or socks, going to a senior center or preschool to entertain the old or young, or anything else to help others this holiday season, snap a picture and post (or send to us) using #Nov38.

Nov. 28 was the kickoff but we'll continue to share goal news throughout the holiday season. Share your kindness, then spread the good news.
