Rio Rancho Mayor Honors Los Ranchos ES Hero

5th grader Adrian Tenorio called for help for his seriously injured neighbor.

Adrian Tenorio was honored by Rio Rancho Mayor Greggory D. Hull during a short ceremony at Los Rancho Elementary last week. The fifth grader was recognized for calling 911 and then running for help when he saw a neighbor fall off a ladder and hit his head.

Adrian was at his grandmother's house in Rio Rancho this summer when he saw neighbor Modesto Montaño fall. Adrian called 911 and then ran to get his grandmother. He said he learned to call 911 from TV.

Had Adrian not been there, Mr. Montaño said he may have suffered major complications. He did suffer a concussion but has since recovered.
