Public Input Sought on Science & Health Teaching Materials

Teachers, parents and community members may view samples of instructional materials being considered for use in the near future.

April 17, 2012

Teachers, parents and community members may view samples of instructional materials being considered for use in the near future.

APS is in the process of choosing instructional materials for science and health classes to be used in the coming years. Teachers, parents and community members may view samples of the available materials at the APS Montgomery Complex (map) from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day through May 15.

These instructional materials for science and health have been approved for adoption by the New Mexico Pubic Education Department.

All publishers (except Discovery Education) have been extensively reviewed by New Mexico teachers during the state adoption process, and the results of those reviews are available on the PED's Instructional Materials Bureau website .

Input from the public and from schools will be shared with APS leadership, which is expected to make final selections later this year.
