Metro Teen Court Looking for Volunteer Student Jurors

The program, which serves as an alternative court where teens are judged and sentenced by a teen jury panel, will hold student juror training on Nov. 8 at the Bernalillo County Children's Court.

Metro Teen Court is seeking students in grades seventh through 12th to serve as volunteer jurors. The next training session will be on Thursday, Nov. 8.

Metro Teen Court is a program designed to help juvenile offenders restore their relationship with the community through accountability and personal development. It is an alternative court where teens are judged and sentenced by a teen jury panel. Sessions are held from 4:30-6 p.m. on Thursdays in the Bernalillo County Children's Court, 5100 Second NW.
