Kids Concert Benefits KANW Radio Jan. 27

“Sparx for Kids” offers performance at the KiMo Theatre.

The APS radio station KANW (89.1-FM) is sponsoring a concert for elementary-age children at 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27, at the KiMo Theatre in downtown Albuquerque.

“Sparx 4 Kids” will feature Latin recording group Sparx in a two-hour performance that will include bilingual music, magic, games, dancing and audience participation.

Tickets are $5 to $10 and are available at the KiMo Box Office, online at, or by calling the KiMo at 768-3522.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the radio station, which is owned and operated by the school district, and is a local National Public Radio affiliate.
