KANW Offers Radio Broadcasting Course

8-week course begins Tuesday, March 27.

89.1 KANW presents its spring Radio Broadcasting Class beginning Tuesday, March 27, 2018.

Topics in the eight-week introductory course include:

  • Commercial and noncommercial radio broadcasting
  • FCC rules and regulations
  • Programming formats
  • Transmission systems
  • HD radio
  • Voice technique

And much more. Students train on KANW's broadcast equipment.

The class is held at the KANW studios in Albuquerque and meets Tuesday and Thursday from 6- 8 p.m., March 27-May 17, 2018. The age limit for KANW's Radio Class is a high school senior and above (17+).

The class fee is $300 for the general public, but KANW offers this class at NO CHARGE to APS high school students with a valid student ID or verification.
