James Monroe Students Win Poster Contest

The national competition recognizes outstanding art celebrating the U.S. Constitution.

Two James Monroe eighth graders have been selected as finalist in the national poster contest sponsored by  Angelique Cortez and Itzani Cruz designed posters showing how they have benefited from the freedoms in the U.S. Constitution.

The students were encouraged by social studies teacher Rachael Koenigsfeld to enter the contest. Constitution Day is celebrated on Sept. 17 in schools across APS and the nation.
