Graduation Ceremonies for the Class of 2015 Set for Week of May 11

Comprehensive high schools will graduate again at Tingley Coliseum; graduations for the Schools of Choice will be held at the Hispanic Cultural Center.

Mark your calendar. Graduation ceremonies for the Albuquerque Public Schools Class of 2015 have been set for the week of May 11.

All traditional high schools will hold their graduation ceremonies again at Tingley Coliseum. The Schools of Choice will graduate at the National Hispanic Cultural Center.

College & Career High School, the dual-credit high school that opened last year on the CNM campus, will graduate with CNM at noon on Saturday, May 9, at Tingley Coliseum.

Manzano will kick off the comprehensive high school graduations at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 11. The Rio Grande Ravens will be the final Class of 2015 to get their diplomas at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16.

The 2015 graduation schedule for traditional APS high schools is as follows:

  • Monday, May 11: Manzano, 2:30 p.m.; Atrisco Heritage Academy, 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 12: Eldorado, 2:30 p.m.; La Cueva, 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 13: Volcano Vista, 2:30 p.m. Sandia, 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 14: Cibola, 2:30 p.m.; Valley, 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, May 15: Highland, 2:30 p.m. West Mesa, 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 16: Del Norte, 10:30 a.m; Albuquerque High, 2:30 p.m.; Rio Grande, 6:30 p.m.

The 2015 graduation schedule for APS Schools of Choice (alternative schools) is as follows:

  • Monday, May 11: eCademy Virtual High, 10:30 a.m.; nex+Gen Academy, 1:30 p.m.; Transition Services, 4:30 p.m.; School on Wheels, 7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 12: New Futures, 1:30 p.m.; Freedom High, 4:30 p.m.; Early College Academy, 7:30 p.m.

Graduates of the Career Enrichment Center nursing program will participate in a pinning ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, May 8, at the UNM Continuing Education Conference Center.
