ES, MS Science Teacher Institutes set for June

Week-long training focuses on foundations of science

Four training sessions for science teachers of grades 3 through 8 will be offered in June four locations around the district. Teachers who participate in any of the week-long institutes will receive $100 to spend on classroom science supplies.

Focusing on how to teach about energy and matter, these teacher institutes are designed for teachers of earth, life, physical and general science. The institutes meet from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.

Institute dates and locations are as follows: June 1-5, Ernie Pyle Mid-School;

June 8-12, Taylor Mid-School;

June 15-19, Garfield Mid-School; and

June 22-26, Manzano High.
