Diggin’ Donuts with Dads

SY Jackson Elementary School hosts yearly event for students and their fathers.

Hundreds of fathers, grandfathers, family members and friends converged on the SY Jackson cafeteria before school Friday for the annual Donuts with Dads breakfast.

“It’s very special because all of the dads came and most of the dads normally can’t come to school because they have to work,” said 4th grader Joey Escobedo.

“It just shows how the community values the school, and it’s a way for dads who may not always be able to get to school to come and share the experience and see their kids playing together before the school day,” said Brian O’Connell, who has a duaghter at the school.
