Conquering Destination Imagination

Students from across the district participate in state tournament.

Top honors and recognition went to dozens of students from across the district in the annual Destination Imagination Tournament.  The competition puts students to the test to see who is the best innovator and leader from imagination to innovation. Contests include STEM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning, and Early learning.

Here is a list of just some of the winners from the event:

  • First Place:  Rio Grande High School in Technical Challenge; Edward Gonzales ES in Science Challenge; Desert Ridge Middle School in Science Challenge; Edward Gonzales in Fine Arts Challenge.
  • Second Place:  Rio Grande High School in Structural Challenge
  • Third Place:  Edward Gonzales ES in Science Challenge

La Cueva High School was presented with the 2018 Special Olympics Unified Champion Award.
Rebuilt, Renovated and Repaired
APS has spent millions of voter-approved dollars renovating, rebuilding and repairing aging schools. Here is a list of more than 150 projects since 2010.
